CertifiGroup offers both NEMA and UL50E Type Testing for Enclosures.  CertifiGroup can provide NEMA Type Testing certification and services to obtain UL50E NRTL certification.  Enclosure Type Ratings are accepted all over North America and is referenced in the National Electric Code, NFPA, UL standards, and multiple other product safety standards.

A Type Rating on an Enclosure deems the product as having a construction and ingress protection properties which will provide protection to hazardous parts, against solid foreign objects, and against water.  Unlike Ingress Protection (IP) ratings, type ratings found in NEMA250 and UL50E include construction requirements, material designations, corrosion testing, oil testing, and more. 

IP to NEMA Ratings

It is important to note that IP ratings and Type ratings are not transferrable.  Just because your product has a IP rating, does not deem that your product has an equivalent type rating.  Please refer to the attached link which details the differences between IP and NEMA type ratings.
